Socrates, or "Socs" as he's known around the barn, is a pony schoolmaster thru first level. He is now schooling 2nd and looking for another young rider to move up. With has many show miles under his belt, he's qualified two young riders for Regional Dressage Championships and rated through C-2 in United States Pony Club [USPC]. Socs has an award winning jumping career, and Pony Club experience. He's spent the last two years in dressage, as that is our daughter's love.

Honors include: 2005 USDF Region 9 Grand Champion Pony Training Level; 2007 USDF Training Level Reserve Champion

(tied for first out of nearly 30 horses and a few ponies) and Grand Champion Pony First Level. Too many awards to list them all here! With great bloodlines he is a registered New Forest Pony in US and Canada. Registered American Sport Pony. Lifetime USDF/USEF. Shhh! Don't tell Socs he's a pony, he believes he's a big horse!

If you're looking for a confidence builder, good friend and companion to move your rider up the levels, Socs is the pony for the job! He loves children and is big enough for a small adult to ride and learn on. We personally watched and cheered as he qualified his previous rider for dressage championships, then cheered as our rider qualified twice for championships on Socs. Our 5 year old son even does the occasional leadline on Socs, and Socs is thrilled to take him for a ride.

Sadly, we are offering him for sale, as we are looking for a larger pony/horse for our daughter. If we could figure out a way to keep kids from growing, we'd keep Socs forever!
