Indian Creek Fall Show

We have to extend our thanks to Indian Creek for putting on another fantastic show. The girls had a great time and came home loaded up with Ribbons. To top the day off Holly and Elissa thrilled the onlookers by taking the fenced together on Padme and Merry Legs for the talent class.

Merry Legs and Holly placed in every class they entered, while Laura and Paper Angel now have 4 more blue ribbons to add to their collection.

Elissa rode Padme and the crowed cheered for them over 2' fences!

Indian Creek Summer Show

Padme showed in the green as grass combined training division at Indian Creek. She held 1st after dressage, was clean over the 2 foot course and earned division champion. Padme was also reserve high point for the show in combined training.

and the 3' hunter classes with Penny!

Debbie McDonald clinic May 19-20

Off to Salado it was! Laura packed up to cheer on trainer Eva Oldenbroek and her fine Dutch Warmblood; Uberlinus as they participated in the Debbie McDonald clinic.

Debbie is one of those gifted trainers who knows exactly what you feel under saddle without ever having ridden your horse! All in all a fantastic weekend.

Gearing up for the 2007 show season means loads of fun at Indian Creek Farm!

Laura and Angel spent the weekend at the USPC Regional USPC Show Jumping Rally. The Team brought home a 2nd place ribbon and Angel really showed her stuff during the jump-off with a clean round and the speediest time of the day!

San Antonio Charity Spring B Show

The Girls traveled with Red to the Rose palace where the San Antonio Charity Spring B Show was being hosted. The girls came home very pleased with a 4th place ribbon in the Baby Green Limit Hunter Class out of 16 riders.

Fort Sam Houston Equestrian Center

January 2007

Just look at the ice! Deep in the heart of central Texas we are not prepared for snow and ice, and although fun to play in, it was not riding weather. The ponies all enjoyed almost an entire month of R&R!  Thank goodness February has come and we are back on track. With the ADA show season about to start and Pony Club in full swing we have some ponies to get back in condition!

Our family gives great thanks for our wonderful trainer, Eva Oldenbroek. From Dressage to jumping, Eva stands side by side with the girls. Faithfully taking them to shows and clinics, always supportive. You can find Eva at www.hollandhillsstables.com. We highly recommend this young woman for clinics and private lessons for all ages.

Lone Star Fall Schooling Series.

What a great weekend! Merry Legs(ridden by our own Holly), Paper Angel(Laura's girl), Red(Penny rode her to fame)and Bengi(Our family friend Sydney brought home that championship!)were all winners!. The girls had a load of fun at this Hunter extravaganza. Sasha was taken to the Pony Hunter Championship with Laura as her rider, and Elli was glorious in her classes, also bringing home a championship. Each of our ponies who were in attendance have updates on their pages. Great job girls, and a special thanks to Sydney and her Mom for helping out. Eva won her 3'3" jumper class on Uniform too!

Our friend Terry joined us for both days of showing.

Fun at Indian Creek

Lone Star Fall Schooling Series

Another great day of showing! Red moved up to the 3' Hunters with Penny, Laura won both her division championships on Paper Angel and Holly and Merry Legs did a fantastic job for their first 2' hunter class together. More Blue ribbons for the girls and a great experience for the ponies.

Pony Club Clinic at Pine Hill

Laura, Penny and Friends took their mounts to lovely Pine Hill for a Pony Club Clinic. They had a blast, Penny and Shadow leading the pack through water, over banks and through the woods. Shadow was a complete packer, showing he is old hand at the cross country course!

Lone Star Winter Schooling Series

This show couldn't have come at a better time. After a month of miserable weather the ponies needed a chance to get out and play, so did the girls. Bengi and Laura had a fantastic time, winning their flat class with clean rounds over the course. Penny and Shadow won their division and also had a great time.  Thank you to the Lone Star group for putting on these great schooling shows.

Pony Fun with friends!

September was a month of learning experiences and good hard work. Laura and Penelope aided their trainer Eva in preparation for the coveted DG Bar Cup. Eva once again brought in the highest score in the nation for a five year old Dutch Warmblood, but she couldn't have done it without her grooms!!

The girls have been participating in as many clinics as they can make time for, with Dressage as their main interest right now.

With Clinician Thomas Poulin; an S rated judge from IL, the girls enjoyed a weekend of hard work and some great schooling. The clinic was held at Fran Dearings, Windy Knoll Farm, in Magnolia TX. The girls have schooled with Thomas five times over the last year. Kolvenier, Idol, Jester and Five Oakes Socrates ( Now owned and loved by the Manifold family), have all participated in the clinics.

Tom works with each young rider at the level they are comfortable with. He is extremely patient and encouraging, and my girls always learn something to take home and practice.
