Special Girl is an elegant Imported Dutch mare; sure to catch the judges eye. She is seven years old, and at 15.2h qualifies as a small Junior Hunter. She competed successfully in Holland in the 4ft children’s jumpers, with a 13 year old rider. With three outstanding gaits, classic form over fences, a sensible mind, along with clean flying lead changes, she will also prove to be a very competitive junior hunter mount. This lovely mare is eligible green in the USA. The first time "Red" competed in the Pre Green Hunter Classes she made a lasting impression, winning all her under saddle and over fence classes both hunter and Eq. Red brought home the Jr. Hunter division Championship as well. This incredibly versatile mare recently had opportunity to shine in the Dressage arena as well. At Red's first test she scored in the 60's at third level.  The Judge's comments included calling her a talented and willing partner, and the impressive statement that the judge "Just loved our horse". Red was given a 7 for gaits and an 8 for her lead changes. It is very rare to find a horse that can make the transition from Hunter to Dressage partner but this supple mare has the work ethic and genuine talent to compete in any sport.
